All-Gauze Sponges Premium™, Non-Sterile • Made from USP 100% gauze • Available in 8 ply, 12 ply, or 16 ply • Highly absorbent United States Pharmacopeia (USP) cotton/cotton gauze defines specific standards based on thread count, length, width, weight, absorbancy, ignited residue, fatty matter and alcohol-soluble dyes. Manufacturers of this material must conduct ongoing tests that assure the product meets and/or exceeds the standards established by the USP. All Crosstex sponges are manufactured in facilities having an in-house laboratory that continually monitors for USP compliance.
