SDF Pro uses an innovative two-step solution to minimize the risk of staining. By applying a solution of magnesium chloride immediately after treatment, a silver chloride precipitate is formed and gently washed away. Note: Magnesium Chloride helps reduce tooth pain and clean out underlying bacteria, while remineralizing the teeth to strengthen enamel and protect against infections and tooth decay. The magnesium chloride solution also aids in the reduction of tooth discoloration after the application of SDF. SDF Pro is indicated for the treatment of tooth hypersensitivity and for arresting carious lesion development. It has been shown to be a highly effective biofilm inhibitor and to provide caries prevention for at least one year. Additionally, SDF Pro is tinted blue to both aid in visual application and to detect difficult-to-see lesions.
