STERLING® Orthodontic Clear Aligner Instruments are designed for creating access for bonded buttons and patient ease of use of elastics. Hole punch pliers are designed to adjust the clear aligner’s plastic against patient’s gingival tissue. These pliers are used to manipulate and design the clear aligner’s hard and sharp border in such a way as to not cause discomfort against the patient’s gingival tissue. These pliers are also used to punch a half-moon shaped hole where a button needs to be placed, in order to apply extra pressure to certain teeth.
