Silhouette is a revolutionary nitrous oxide breathing circuit and nasal hood. The low-profile patented design allows for a snug seal around the patients nose as well as effective delivery and scavenging. The lightweight tubing runs over the ears and under the chin (versus behind the headreast) which allows the patient a full range of head motion – which can be challenging with “traditional” breathing circuits and nasal hoods. The low-profile mask allows for use of protective eyewear without compromising the seal of the mask. Silhouette is a single use mask and tubing – all in one. Essentially all of the parts that directly touch the patient are single use. Post COVID, Silhouette gained significant popularity as the infection control process was simplified with a single use product versus traditional breathing circuits that have masks and tubing that should be sterilized after each patient use.
