This detects high spots while seating crowns (porcelain jacket, fused to metal and full metal), bridges, partial framework or over-dentures. DETEX high spot indicator is also helpful when checking binding areas, contacts and a final occlusion. To use, hold crown or prosthesis in a 4x4 gauze. Then, hold the nozzle 4" to 6" from crown or prosthesis and spray desired areas. Reseat, remove and examine for high-spots. You will want to remove high spots with air rotor or handpiece. To clan, use alcohol on a gauze or cotton swab.
