The Straumann CARES® iOS, powered by Dental Wings, is designed to address the specific need of dental professionals looking for an intuitive digital impression technology. • Remarkably small handpiece—to ensure patient comfort and excellent clinical access. The familiar shape of the handpiece allows the dentist to assure a natural position relative to the patient. • Visual and audible feedback—a luminescent ring on the handpiece as well as audible signals indicate when scan data is being successfully captured, allowing the user to focus on the patient and not the system’s screen. • Optimized gesture control and voice command—the Straumann CARES® Intraoral Scanner system is equipped with gesture recognition technology and voice command for infection control, allowing touch-free operation of the system while the user is gloved. • System generates Open STL files that are immediately available for export to labs or chairside mills. The new Powder-Free handpiece leverages the unique Dental Wings Multiscan Imaging™ technology to provide the same class leading ergonomics, patient comfort, and clinical access with an exceptionally small and robust handpiece (105 gram weight). Five miniaturized 3D scanners in the handpiece tip directly view the teeth and soft tissue from multiple orientations simultaneously, capturing even the most difficult to see areas of preparations with minimal effort by the user.
