Intra-oral camera sheaths are applied parts. After each replacement, check the camera sheath for any tears or rips. Replace any damaged sheaths before use. Avoid contact between the camera sheath and any sharp objects, such as the patients teeth, orthodontia, etc. If there is any form of contact made, inspect the sheath for any tears or rips and replace it if necessary. The camera sheath is disposable and should be replaced before each use of the camera. Dispose of sheaths following the normal dental office procedure for biomedical waste. The camera sheath is designed only for intra-oral use. If you use it for taking extra-oral images, the images will not be clear as compared to intra-oral use because the transparent film reflects light and changes the focus.
