The HALO Margin porcelain is used when an All Ceramic Shoulder is required, where the metal is removed on the labial aspect of the cervical area to achieve an adequate space for the porcelain shoulder of 0.5 - 0.7 mm Thus margin porcelains offer greater strength and toughness against the stresses occurring at the shoulder margins and efficiently prevents black effect which commonly occurs due to metal exposure at the margins. Offers Ideal placement when best mixed with the margin hardening liquid which when dried toughens the porcelain making it easy to remove the frame from the abutment.
